Happy Thanksgiving

November Classroom News
Thank you to everyone who donated to our Teasley Tiger Trot!!! I can’t wait to see how much fun the kiddos will have using the basketball goals, the 4 square section, and the hopscotch boards!!!
Our field trip to Fernbank will be the Wednesday after we return from Thanksgiving Break.  At this point, only about half of our class permission forms have been returned.  Please make sure that you return them ASAP.  Also, we are looking for some chaperone's to go on the trip.  Parents would need to purchase an entrance ticket, and may need to arrange transportation separate from the children.  Please let me know if you would be willing to help with this fun trip.
Additionally, all parent volunteers and now required to complete an Acknowledgement of Volunteer Responsibilities form before they are able to participate in our fun activities.  Please complete and return the form, even if you do not plan to help at this particular event.  We will keep it on file for future events, and hope to see you soon!
Cold Weather
As the temperatures start to drop, please make sure your child is coming to school with appropriate warm weather clothing. Your child should wear standard attire sweaters, sweatshirts and tights in the building. Sweaters/Sweatshirts: NO HOODED sweaters or sweatshirts are permitted to be worn inside during the school day with the exception of a Teasley hooded sweatshirt. All sweaters and sweatshirts must be a SOLID navy, light blue, black, gray, purple, or white. There may be no patterns, markings, labels or other designs. Hoodies may be worn as jacket or outerwear only and must be removed once in the building.Children who do not bring appropriate attire for the temperature outside will remain inside for recess. Please remember to have your child’s names on ALL items that they bring to school.
IB Unit Information

Over the Thanksgiving Break please encourage your child to share what they have learned about the continents we have studied so far- North America, South America, Europe, Asia, and Antarctica.
Here is an online game to practice the continents and oceans:
As a first grade, we will be finishing our second IB unit in December. Our last activity will include researching and learning about a country. We encourage you to talk with your child. Ask them to share about the culture they are interested in learning about or researching. It is amazing to see what they know!
